BLOCKSHOT

Everyone starts with the same rusty pistol and the same problem: nine guns above you, and only kills to climb with. First player to land a kill with the GOLDEN GUN ends the match. Everything else in the arena is breakable, including the floor.

The rule that runs the whole game

Every kill = the next gun. First GOLDEN GUN kill wins. That single rule does all the work. Nobody camps a power weapon, because the weapon is a rank and you can only earn it by fighting. Nobody snowballs out of reach, because the player in the lead is the one everybody can see coming. And the last kill of the match is always the tensest one, because the golden gun is one shot and no forgiveness.

The ladder runs pistol, SMG, shotgun, AK, LMG, sniper, magnum, plasma, railgun, golden gun — ten guns with genuinely different handling, not ten reskins. Headshots count double, and there's a distinct sound and a kill-feed tag for them, because a headshot should feel like something.

Destructible everything

The world is voxel terrain, chunk-meshed with per-face shading, and it breaks where you shoot it. That changes how a fight resolves: the wall you're leaning on is temporary, the sniper nest above you is a few well-placed bursts away from being ground level, and shooting through a problem is a legitimate strategy. Late in a match, the map you started on isn't the map you're finishing on.

Ten maps, five modes, real rooms

MAPS

Emerald Forest · Block City · Frostbite Peaks · Neon District — ten maps in all

From dense woodland and tropical shallows to glass towers, frozen peaks, dune canyons, a neon-lit district and stranger places yet — ten themed arenas, each generated from a seed so an exact map can be shared with a link.

BOTS

Seven AI opponents

They fight each other as hard as they fight you — the ladder is a race, not a queue. Live leaderboard, kill feed, and a warning the moment somebody reaches the golden gun.

ONLINE

Rooms and quick match

Browse live rooms, quick-match into one, or create a private room and send the link. Hits, damage and wins are computed on the server, so a modified client can change what you see and nothing that matters.

HUD

Information, not decoration

Directional damage arcs point at whoever is shooting you, a compass strip blips nearby gunfire, and gun-race pips show exactly how far up the ladder everyone is.

Mobile controls that aren't an apology

BLOCKSHOT was built on phones first. A floating joystick moves you, dragging anywhere looks around, and FIRE, JUMP, AIM, reload and crouch sit under your thumbs where you'd expect. Two touches of design do most of the work:

  • Drag-fire aiming. Press FIRE and keep dragging — the button captures the pointer, so you keep shooting while you adjust your aim. You never lift a finger mid-fight.
  • Auto-fire. Optional, and it only pulls the trigger while your crosshair is resting on a visible enemy. It turns "aim and shoot" into just "aim", which is the part that's actually fun on a touchscreen.

On desktop it's the usual: WASD, space to jump (twice for a double jump), shift to sprint, C to crouch, right mouse to aim, R to reload, TAB for scores.

How to play

  1. Open the game and deploy. No download, no account. You spawn with the rusty pistol like everyone else.
  2. Get the first kill fast. Early guns are weak, so the opening minute is about picking fights you can finish, not fights you can win prettily.
  3. Aim high. Headshots do double damage — and at the top of the ladder, a headshot is often the difference between a kill and a reload.
  4. Use the terrain, then remove it. Break the cover somebody is hiding behind. Break the floor they're standing on. It's all blocks.
  5. Watch the pips. When the leaderboard shows someone on the golden gun, everyone's priority changes — including yours.
  6. Land the last one. Reach the golden gun and get one clean kill. That's the match.

Questions

Is BLOCKSHOT free?

Yes, and there's nothing to buy to be competitive — the gun you're holding is earned by playing, in that match, every match. Ads pay for the servers.

Does it work on a phone?

That's what it was designed for. Touch controls, aim assist, auto-jump over single steps, and a HUD that gives up size on small screens so it never covers what you're aiming at.

Do I need an account?

No. Settings like sound and auto-fire live in your browser's localStorage; match results live on the server so scoreboards and rooms can work.

Can I play with friends?

Yes — create a room and share the code or link, or use quick match to drop into a live one. Bots can fill the empty seats.

What about cheaters?

The server is the referee. Every hit, every point of damage and every win is computed server-side and position updates are sanity-checked, so a modified client can change what it draws but not what happens.

Can I install it like an app?

Yes. It ships a web manifest, so Android can run it fullscreen and on iPhone you can use Share → Add to Home Screen for a standalone, no-browser-bar version.
